If this is your first time camping, here's a list to help you pack and be prepared.

FOOD AND DRINK
BYOB. There is a convenience store to purchase select brands o f soft drinks, beer, wine, and RTD mixed beverage drinks. Any spirits (i.e., bourbon, vodka, tequila, etc.) must be purchased off-site. This means that you're welcome to bring in your own (plastic or cans are preferred, no glass bottles).
Campit Cafe will be open throughout the weekend for looking for something to eat. Food will also be available for purchase at all pool parties, breakfast, and brunch events. There will be food truck

Bring your drums, guitars, or anything you'd like to play.

Bring your chairs, blankets, or special seating for film screenings.

Bring a yoga mat if you're interested in yoga. This offering will be hosted on Saturday at 10 am.

Bring whatever will help to make you feel comfortable.

Bring your bathing suit and towels.

Bring your great energy and be ready to take photos, engage in interactive discussions, movie screenings, and dance parties!

Engage in the bonfires to build community and form new friendships and relationships.

EXPLORE SAUGATUCK – IT'S BEAUTIFUL, SAFE, & LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY!
We've intentionally built time into our weekend schedule so that you can explore the local area. From coffee shops and cozy cafés to breweries, wineries, beaches, and boutique shopping, there’s something for everyone just a short drive away. Whether you're looking to unwind with friends or find a quiet moment in nature, Saugatuck and its surrounding areas have you covered. Click here to learn more about the area.
Hiking Trails & Natural Spots

Saugatuck Dunes State Park
It is a hidden gem with over 14 miles of hiking trails through rolling wooded dunes and lakeshore. Follow one of several scenic loops to a quiet stretch of Lake Michigan shoreline. Distance from Campit: ~15 minutes

Mount Baldhead Park
Climb 302 wooden steps to reach a panoramic view of Saugatuck and the Kalamazoo River. On the other side? A sandy trail that leads directly to Oval Beach. Great for early morning or sunset hikes. Distance from Campit: ~15 minutes

Saugatuck Harbor Natural Area
An easy-to-moderate walk through a protected dune system filled with native grasses, wetlands, and views of Lake Michigan.

Beaches & Lake Access

Oval Beach – One of the most popular beaches in the Midwest, perfect for a relaxing day or a quick dip.

Douglas Beach Park – A quieter beach option great for sunset views and a more local feel.

Note: We encourage guests to plan short trips during open blocks in the El Brillo Latino schedule and to travel with friends or groups. Nature is part of the healing, joy, and cultural connection we're celebrating all weekend.
